Jamestown High School Reviews

This schools diversity is a great environment for a well developed teenager to form in. Students from all walks of life attend JHS. Many students even pay to transfer to this public school that is out of there district. The teachers are on high demand at this very liberal school.

Jamestown H.S. is a fine school to attend. The teachers genuinely care about all the students and tend to be very helpful. The Principal and assistant principals work very hard to treat every young adult fairly in punishments. They are also very helpful if you go about getting help in the right way.

The quality of academic programs is just ok. There is lots of availability in music art and sports. the level of parent involvement is extreamly low!

This is probably one of the worst high schools in New York State. The Principal and Assistant Principals are rude and sometimes outright mean to the students. They never attempt to help students in need, they just attempt to push them out the door. Parents are treated as outsiders and made to feel unwelcome if an issues occur.

I attend Jamestown High School. It's amazing how liberal based everything is. I have found that schools just like all other schools really depend on the people you have working there. The staff at Jamestown is great. What the state put's in their Regents exams is not. In the June 2004 English exam their were comments bashing Bush and his views. I don't go to school to have the state tell me who to vote for. I go to learn both sides, and then make my own decision. What is more bothersome is that kids my age (17) are very influencial. We go to school to become smarter stronger people to benefit our society. As far as I'm concerned if a child goes through school not knowing what a conservative is, they're not going to make it or understand how society and opinions work.
